Westiform manufactured a striking sign for the entrance to the Kastanienpark care home in Oberdiessbach. The textile illuminated transparency wf | Mira provides unique lighting accents in the inside lounge areas.
After more than a year of refurbishment, the Kastanienpark care home in Oberdiessbach has been given a new lease on life. The lighting design concept for the Kastanienpark refurbishment bears the signature of the lighting designers of Lucet GmbH in Bern.
Westiform collaborated closely with them to design the restaurant and the multipurpose room of the care home and chose 14 different-sized wf | Mira textile illuminated transparencies to do the job.
The wf | Mira
is a premium-quality, energy-saving illuminated sign for inside use and is composed of a single, 4-cm-deep aluminium frame that is illuminated with LEDs and covered with printed textile fabric.
In keeping with the name of the "Kastanienpark" care home (Chestnut Park in English) and the green-themed colour concept of the interior decoration, the wf | Mira illuminated transparencies were printed with different images of chestnuts.
They can be dimmed and connected to the building control systems. It is thus possible to adjust the effect of the image to the ambient brightness and further reduce energy consumption.
In addition to the wf | Mira textile illuminated transparencies inside, the outdoor area boasts a 2.40-m-wide and 1.50-m-high double-sided illuminated transparency from Westiform. The transparency is printed with the Kastanienpark logo on both sides and points the way to the entrance of the care home.
