Vacuum Moulding

With the vacuum forming by Westiform you can really shape up your illuminated advertising. Logos with smooth lines and curves are perfectly represented in three dimensions with precisely shaped plastic.

Vacuum forming is a process for the forming of plastics, also known as thermoforming, deep-drawing or vacuum deep-drawing. We implement different types of plastics such as acrylic, polycarbonate or ABS rubber. This we warm up to a flexible state. The soft, flexible plate is sucked on a purpose-built drawing tool. After cooling, the plastic retains the so-given form.

Westiform has two thermoforming systems. One of them is perfect for smaller items and runs. The other machine has an enormous draw depth of up to 620 mm and an automatic placement for large runs. It is able to deform plastic panels in sizes of up to 3050 mm x 2050 mm.
