The origins of the MINI extend back into the 50s. At that time, the aim was to develop a new type of car with small dimensions. Since then, the Mini has had the flair of the extraordinary. The versatile image of the Mini brand is now also intended to be conveyed with the new visual appearance of the BMW/MINI car dealerships. Separate showrooms will be set up for the MINI brand and fitted with interior and exterior visual highlights. 

Ideally coordinated lighting elements ensure an impressive sight. The new MINI appearance is comprised of standard elements and special parts. The latter set additional elements. Westiform visuelle Kommunikation GmbH, from Eberstadt, was mandated with the manufacturing, delivery and installation of the advertising systems for more than 50 car dealerships. 

In the exterior appearance, the self-illuminating ĞMINIğ word mark signalises the distinctiveness of the brand - by day and night. The lettering, comprised of individual letters, is effective thanks to its size: The individual letters have a height of 400 to 1500 millimetres. The housing of the letters is made of aluminium and is painted black on the outside. The front side, made of Plexiglas, is produced as a hood, so that the illuminated lettering is particularly easy to maintain. For perfect illumination, depending on the size, high-voltage neon tubes or technically superior LEDs are used. The height of the letters is individually adapted to the architectural/local circumstances and either installed horizontally or vertically on the façade. 

In the interior, the MINI neon sign makes the difference. It creates a visual highlight and creates a special lighting atmosphere in the space, which shines outward at night. The neon sign is comprised of single or double, high-voltage neon tubes, which illuminate in yellow and orange. These are attached to an aluminium panel that is painted black and mounted on the wall. The cables are invisible to the viewer on the back. With a special version, the high-voltage neon tubes are housed between two clear, Plexiglas panels and fastened to the ceiling with stainless steel cables.
